The anti-discrimination student movement, a key player in the quota reform campaign, has unveiled a new plan of action. They have organized a nationwide protest march for Saturday, followed by a full non-cooperation movement starting Sunday.

This initiative is in response to recent violent attacks against peaceful student and citizen protests, which they claim have resulted in the deaths of nine individuals. Abdul Hannan, a coordinator of the movement and a graduate student in the ESOL Department at Dhaka University, announced the program during a Facebook Live session around 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Another coordinator, Asif Mahmud, also confirmed the details on his Facebook page.

During the Facebook Live broadcast, Hannan stated, "We were invited by the Prime Minister to visit Ganabhaban with our families this morning, but we declined. Our brothers have been killed in Dhaka, Uttara, Khulna, Habiganj, Tangail, and Sylhet. Unarmed individuals are being shot. We do not understand how this government maintains power."

Hannan continued, "We are announcing that tomorrow (Saturday), protests will take place in every neighborhood across the country. Starting Sunday, we will implement a full non-cooperation movement. This will include withholding taxes, not paying electricity and gas bills, closing all public and private offices, and barring vehicles from entering Ganabhaban and Bangabhaban. We are calling for complete non-cooperation to ensure this government can no longer continue."
